Once you've already gotten over the phase when you only like to be around beaches once here in Costa Rica, you will begin to ask if there are other places to visit aside from the typical beaches. The answers is a resounding yes. It won't be a top tourist destination if it only has good beaches, anyway.
One famous landmark here in Costa Rica is the Poas Volcano that, interestingly, has two crater lakes: one that is icy cold and one that is geothermally heated/
