Personally, putting myself under a spa treatment is not the kind of thing that I will do during my spare time. I don't know. Sometimes I just find it expensive, although sometimes, I get temped to visit a spa salon because of what I hear as the rejuvenating effects of a spa treatment.
So I really cannot give you much of a credible review of a Costa Rican spa, unless I rely on information posted somewhere else. One thing I noticed is this spa review from CostaRica.com. In particular, the spa in focus was PURE Jungle Spa. The author of the aforementioned article had a Chocolate Decadence Treatment for that morning.
From the very name of that treatment, one could already guess the kind of materials that will be used during the massage. The room, which was made out of room in a cottage-style manner, was suddenly filled with the scent of cocoa once the chocolate started to melt. One could easily fall for the scent and try to eat the chocolate somewhere.
Like most other spas, it starts with skin exfoliation to remove dead skin cells in the body. This was then followed by deep tissue massage, wherein the masseur tries to relive the body of stress in the muscles. The scent of cocoa flushing in the room also helps a lot when it comes to this muscle easing.
All-in-all, one could already say that the author of the post had a great time in the PURE Jungle Spa. If you're looking for an excellent spa during your weekend break, then that one might be best for you. Otherwise, you can still check out a number of spa clinics, such as the Pura Vida Spa. A lot of these spas are not mere spa salons but actually spa resorts, where there are various relaxation amenities that one can avail--from the spa salons, to yoga lessons, to even saunas. Everything there is at your disposal.
