    Nature Air a Costa Rican airline had been the world’s first certified carbon-neutral airline since 2004. Aside from this certification the airline is also engaged in some environmental awareness program such as their not-for-profit Carbon Offset Program that directly gives its funds to Costa Rican reforestation projects.

    Nature Air manage to reduce carbon dioxide emission in the atmosphere by using fuel-efficient twin-engine fleets, controlled aircraft weight, and careful route planning.

    The airlines programs and initiatives had promote responsible tourism in the country.
