The new McDonalds´s that just opened in San José, Costa Rica, is definitely a different type of building! It is an ecologically friendly structure and is destined to influence the construction of other buildings such as houses, offices and shops. To begin with, it has a "green roof" that has earth, rocks and native plants on it, so that the sun´s rays will not strike the roof directly, thus lowering the inside temperature.
