    Museums in Costa Rica

    01/11/10 06:27

Costa Rica may be most famous for its outstanding beaches and diverse ecosystem, but there are certainly more things about the country that make it a constant favorite among tourists and expats alike. One thing that is going for this small nation are the museums, that are actually in abundance here.

Turtle Hatching at Tortuguero National Park

    01/10/10 06:27

Seeing a turtle and hatch and start a life of its own must be one of the most enchanting moments to see in this world. The little turtle hatches itself from the eggs, initially blind to the entire world that it is about to embrace. Slowly, blindly, the turtle then makes it way to the ocean, attracted to it not by its looks (the turtle is initially blind) but because of the waves of the ocean making their way to the coast.

    Relaxing at Cahuita

    01/09/10 06:27

Need a break from the busy atmosphere in the likes of Puerto Viejo? Well just nearby Limon is a black-sand beach city that will provide you with a laid-back Caribbean vibe, enough to let you relax and stay away from the bustle of the metropolis. I'm talking about the city of Cahuita.

Nature Air is First Carbon-Neutral Airline

    01/08/10 06:27

With the world's growing focus on techniques and technologies that promote the welfare of the environment, there comes a number of instances when items are marketed to become organic and environment-friendly when they are not. The term "green living" has been extensively used as a marketing tool of a number of companies in order to enhance their image. The practice is quite sick, actually, but it works for them.

    01/07/10 06:27
Located about five hundred and fifty kilometers off the Pacific coast of Costa Rica, this is where Cocos Island can be found. It is colloquially known as Isla del Coco, and is considered as one of many national conservation parks of Costa Rica.

    Costa Rican Night Life

    01/06/10 06:27

One of the most effective ways to understand Tico culture is to party with them at night or get into the things that they consider as recreations and breaks after a long day at work. Costa Ricans always love to have fun, so you will have to reserve a lot of energy (and money, too) if ever you decide that it's the perfect way to go out tonight.

A Vegetarian Restaurant in San Jose

    01/05/10 06:27

For Latin Americans, finding a suitable vegetarian restaurant can be quite a difficult thing to do, given the region's dependence on meat exports. But this is actually quite ironic for Costa Rica, which promotes itself as a highly environmental nation. Yes, there are vegetarian people--lots of them--but most of them grow their own food at home. They don't dine outside. And when they do, most of them request the meat to be substituted with eggs, which can take a lot of time to convince the waiter into doing.

The Children's Museum of Costa Rica

    01/04/10 06:27

You really have to give it Costa Rica. It has advocated a very long tradition of peace by abolishing its own military in 1949 after a civil war hit the country. Ironically, unlike its neighbors, it has not experienced another civil war since 1949.

    Costa Rican Day Tours

    01/03/10 06:27

Touring Costa Rica in one day is as good as just going through all the possible destinations to visit via a high-speed sports car. It's just impossible to make a sensible tour in 24 hours and claim to have enjoyed it. There are just so many things to discover and appreciate about this place that all those wonders cannot be just compressed into a single day.

    Zipline Canopy Tours

    01/02/10 06:27

If you claim yourself to be a nature-lover, then putting yourself in one of those canopy tours is a must for you. Why? It's because most of the forest's diversity can be observed at the canopy level. Because of the abundance of light in that level, canopy trees are able to photosynthesize more, which is why it is able to support majority of productivity in the forests.
