Sadly for Costa Rica, urban violence rates are somewhat growing in this region. A fair number of people attribute this to the local rock scene, which is associated with violence. This unfair for those musicians who only want to create good music.
Now in its third year, Festival CostaRock 2008 advocates a violence-free country, promoting a peaceful rock scene to the Costa Rican youth.
